The European RD&Q Center of Kraft Foods for Confectionery and Food products is located in Munich and is a subsidiary of Kraft Foods Inc. in Delaware US. Together with the colleagues in Banbury (UK), who are responsible for R&D Coffee, the Munich experts perform research and development activities in support of Kraft’s European, Middle East and Africa product lines including chocolate, cheese, grocery, snacks and beverages. Munich is also the global centre of expertise for chocolate development and processing.
The focus of R&D Munich’s activities is on:

The employees at the Munich site also work in the areas of Food Chemistry, Microbiology, Quality Assurance and Sensory.
RD&Q Munich also has personnel located at facilities outside of Germany. These employees assist the local businesses in the countries with the introduction and implementation of new products and manufacturing techniques developed in Munich and other research centres. The high quality of Kraft Foods products is ensured by R&D centers working together with the production sites.
